Max. torque = 1800 RPM. Therefore 2000 RPM is actually a bit high. Anything above 1800 RPM renders the brakes unable to hold the car any further back. It may be too low for naturally aspirated cars, but you can launch a turbo effectively beginning 1500 RPM. Turbo launches are glorious. You don't even necessarily need to rev the new turbo angines to 2000 RPM, but the few seconds that you do helps spool (ready) the turbos and make the launch much more efficient.
