My production schedule went something like this:
8/2 - order placed
8/30 - car starts production (I believe there's a summer shutdown at the factory that caused this delay)
9/4 - production completed
9/13 - car leaves Germany en route to California
10/10 - car arrives in california
10/20 - car arrives at my dealership
10/22 - I take delivery
So without the delay between placing my order and production starting, I would have been within the 6-8 week range. As far as getting from the port to the dealership, there are a lot of variables there... how long to get through the VPC, how long to get on a truck, how many other stops that truck has to make... Mine took 10 days, but hopefully that's on the longer side.
