I've had my 6 speed 228i for 2+ years now. bulletproof as well. only "issues" have been:
* 3 new RFT (I have mixed feelings on these - I can't "feel" the difference between RFT and normal tires, but I will say it's been helpful to be able to drive for 50 miles after the tires have gone flat. That said, the downside is they're never in stock unless you to go to BMW service which I don't, as I bought tire insurance through Mr. Tire and it normally takes 1-2 days. Whether or not those tires never would have gone flat had they been non-RFT is another story)
* burnt out right blinker
* I also tried the muffler delete when I first got the car - IMO, it sounded terrible and I put it back on the next day. Not the car's fault I'm an idiot (I know a lot of people love the muffler delete though).

sad to turn it back in, but i'm excited about either the M2, or more likely, the M240
