Yea for sure. Eurodyne has a similar setup for the VW/Audi crowd with licenses etc. It works fine though, because once you have downloaded the file, it's saved for easy access on your laptop so it can be available as a base file. And in the event you've made changes to the fuel/timing maps and failed, you can always resort back to that base file, unconnected to the internet. But if you wanted to update to the latest version or a new tune that you've never loaded, you'd have to be connected to the web..
I thought these had program switching programmed into the wiper stalk or cruise functions? At least that's what I thought I read on here before...
