That's funny because I feel the exact opposite. Rearview cam was a new feature for me (my F30 didn't have that package), and honestly I use it all the time. After having rearview cam, I don't think I'll ever own another car without it.
See, I like very dark windows (my M235 has 5% tint), so the camera is extremely useful at night when trying to back into or out of a parking spot. On my previous vehicles, the dark tint really made nighttime parking tricky (sometimes I would even need to roll down a window or two), but now I'm good to go.
