I'm glad I bought my 2011 E90 3 series sedan when I did, as I heard that the F30 was growing in size. I like the size of my car and would not want one any larger. I use it as a fair weather daily driver and like having 4 doors, thus I wouldn't be interested in a 228i/M235i 2 door model. If someone runs into my car and I have to replace it, I'm not sure what I would go with. BMW just doesn't sell anything here in the USA that I would buy.
The 2 series GC was an intriguing option that I may have considered, but BMW seems tone deaf to their core buyers who don't want lower/longer/wider.
