I fully agree that the new 3-Series is just too big. Test drove one in the fall and it felt more akin to a Cadillac CTS than a BMW. love my 128i and would love the next car to be a M235 Gran Coupe... I often have one passenger in the back, and it isn't all that easy for the tall ones.
Although the wife would like a 5-Series touring someday. Just try to get that over here. Her Volvo Wagon is 8 years old, and we'll probably drive it till it dies or until BMW offers a 535 or 550 Touring. And I don't mean GT.
