My 2015 228i M Sport has developed more interior squeaks/rattles over the past 21 months than my 2012 328i Sport ever had:
- some loose wires in the passenger door were rattling (dealer fixed / sound deadened)
- something in the passenger side vent is rattling (dealer ordered part from Germany and it'll get fixed in the near future)
- The plastic cover on the steering column squeaks (dealer did some minor sound deadening)
- The plastic on under the center arm rest and around to the rear where the rear passenger vents are creaks (this is new/post the last attempt by dealer to reduce interior noises)
- Clutch pedal is creaking (at pivot point I guess)
The shop foreman told me this has become a trend on recent BMWs. Considering I still owe $21k on this car, it's going to get annoying really quick. Thankfully I have the music blasting most of the time, but if I'm listening to a conference call on the way to work, it irks me alot.
Anyone else dealing w/ interior rattling issues in their 2'er?
