I am reading conflicting information on this: BMW USA's site (M235i specs page) shows the top speed as limited at 130 mph and next to it shows [155], which I take it to be the actual top speed if there was no limiter.

On the other hand, the test drive report I saw on Car & Driver's site shows the top speed reached on track as 155 mph.

If it is limited indeed, it will be a deterrent from getting an M235i. I mean, why pay for 320 horses if you will never be able to use them all ?

Any information will be very much appreciated.
If you order the car with the summer performance tires (Michelin PSS) the limiter is set at 155 mph. Any other tire option (run flat, a/s) gets a limiter set around 130 mph.
