I too have found the Pirelli Sottozero 3 winters a great dry or wet winter driving tire for our MINI Roadster S...none of the "marshmellow" cornering feel you get with the optimized winter ice tires...xIce / Blizzak varieties. Those however, will be best if you regularly must drive in cold, icy or snowy conditions. If that occurs ....I switch to the family MSV...MINI Support Vehicle...AWD Volvo V60 Cross Country with its higher ground clearance and winter tires.
