If your not getting a burning rubber smell your probably not hurting it. I've owned 8-10 manual BMW's and never had an issue but burned up the clutch on a 2010 Mini Clubman S. My Mini smelt like I had a burning tire in the back seat and then over the next week all hell broke loose. New clutch at 24,000 miles then I found our it was a real weak point on them and they upgrade them about 2 years later.
