Come on now. With BMW? I would be very worried. You know it. That is exactly why you started this thread. You are very concerned, but are hoping to find someone to bring you back from the ledge. I would go with your gut feeling on this one.
I don't care if it's the same spitting car. Historically BMW just has not been very consistent with first model implementation. Sometimes they get it right, most times not. There is truth behind the legend. I'll be the first to admit that my first year model e90 (2006 330i) was pretty bullet proof. No major problems to report. But, mostly an exception to the rule.
Anyone care to start a list with first year model problems?
