I could totally handle 18s, if the design of the wheel is good and there is a general lack of space between the edge of the tire and the physical edge of the wheel well.

My 235 definitely suffers from too large a gap there - so hopefully the suspension geometry and ride height are configured in a way that's great for handling AND the car's overall stance.
