I am exactly in the same situation. Need automatic commuter car with civility and fun factor. I am moving up after 10+ years in a Neon SRT4 so I am done thinking I am a 20 something year old. I am happy with a classy, comfy car which is not out of place on an occasional track day. My M235i should get on Asian Emperor this weekend - can't wait to get it in late April!
