235's was the preferred tyre size allround after testing at the ring - so ill use the existing tyres for the road before changing :-)
245/35/18 is our preferred front tire size on the 2 series and 1 series if the car has camber plates. This is because 225/40 and 245/35 are the same height, so you get width without the height compromise which can result in contacting the suspension or fender liner.

Yes, your car has a lot more suspension clearance because your offset is 10mm more aggressive and you're running a 10mm spacer (20mm total more clearance to the wheel rim than our photo).
