For me the size is what eliminated the current generation 335 and 435 from being serious candidates. They grew way too wide for my liking and current needs. I considered buying a low miles E9X again instead of those current models.
Then I saw the 235. I never drove one but after seeing all the reviews and seeing one at an auto show, I took a gamble by placing an order without so much as a test drive and have no regrets.
