I got park assist and I can parallel park perfectly on the first try just about anything I get behind the wheel of.
The reason I got the park assist was because it gave me the bumper sensors for free which I thought would be cool to have and I didn't want to pay for the full package with the rear view camera. The park assist may be fun to try or show off to people, but other than that I probably wouldn't use it.
