In the process of diagnosing suspension/steering pops and creaks, the left strut guide support and left inner and outer tie rods were replaced. That didn't solve the issue, so the entire EPS rack was replaced.
I should have also mentioned that during this service visit, they also found a transmission leak that required dropping the exhaust and the drive shaft to access the rear transmission bracket.
