Well, jokes aside, the F80 laps the Ring in 7:50 on PSS tires
The GT4 does it in 7:40 on PSC2 tires
Want to bet that the F80 would match that time on the same tires?
Not that I have any special love for the F80, but as far as "speed" is concerned it is friggin quick. The GT4 is a million times more pure due to manual, NA, light weight, etc, but that does not translate into a faster lap time.
The real question is "can BMW build a car that is as satisfying to drive as a GT4?"

GTR laps in just over 7...but much like whatever driverless car eventually starts lapping at a reliable 6.xx... I couldn't be less interested in owning one.
