The good news is bmw active sound design has been depreciated for all but M vehicles. I know my statement could not be anymore vague but it's the best I can provide at the moment since BMW is very tight lipped about Active sound design. It has different depreciation dates on different vehicles. In the BMW 228i active sound design has been depreciated as of 3/2014 production year.
