I had a 335is- with 6 months left on my lease.
I took advantage of the early turn in ( BMW eats the last 6 payments)
I had non run flats, and a nice little dent on the hood as well.
It cost about $1000.
Make sure you get a note in writing that you have no liability whatsoever for the car once you turn it in.
I got a bill from BMW for the excess wear about two weeks after I took delivery on the M4.
It took a dealer visit and some arm twisting to get them to do what they agreed to when I returned the car.
My car had about 22k mileage after 30 months of driving- which also helped.
Personally I old not commit to the new car till you've handled the liability on the lase return
