I don't know this for a fact, but this is based on how every other manufacturer handles this type of racing.

The nav screen, radio, etc are all there because these are literally production cars that are taken and modified. Ever seen the inside of other manufacturer "cup" cars? They all use varying names for their factory originated racing series, but they all use the same formula: take a car off the production line, drop in a roll cage and do suspension/aero work, then sell them to race teams who will participate in the racing series where all the cars are identical. Ripping out the dash would mean dropping in something else, which would add to the expense.

It's all about advertising and supporting motorsport. The interior modifications are made in the interest of safety, not necessarily performance (yes, a roll cage adds stiffness, but it's added for safety).
Okay fair enough, but is the hardware for the A/C, Nav, and radio still there?
