A dealer did the samething to me, at first they told me 6-8 weeks completion (car arrives to dlr) and this was after shaking hands and signing paperwork. I kept asking the CA for production # and he didnt have one for me (this was a week after paperwork) He kept making things up saying M cars takes longer blah blah blah. I told him if within another 2 weeks he cant give me an allocation/spot/prod # that I'll end the deal. So now I use this deal as a base line and went to another dealer for a better one and with an allocation for me.
Once i got another deal I cancel the other order...hey, he wasnt honest first so two can play this game right
The CA gave me the prod# 3 days after and was honest about the entire process...also bmw just announce a $1000 option allowance on 2 series
