I couldn't buy something as pricey as a car w/o seeing it in person first.
As far as pre-purchase inspection - isn't it best to use a BMW dealer that will hand you a document listing what they inspected and what the results are ?
As far as CPO, as much as it gives some piece of mind it basically a marketing tool as opppsed to an inspection that determines if a product meets a high standard.
