Granted, I have only had about 30 minutes in a test drive of a 228i Sport X drive, but all that I can say is this. I wasn't aware that the steering was suppose to be horrible, so I didn't notice it. With the number of cars that I've driven in my rather long life, steering has been all over the ball park, but I got use to every single one of those cars and their steering. Some I enjoyed the sportiness of their steering, and with others it was just a car. I had company cars for over 25 years, so lots of Taurus Fords.

Getting back to the BMW, until that 18 wheeler decided that he wanted my lane on the freeway, with me still in it, the steering was fine. Lacking in performance, but for what it was, and compared to my MINI r59, it wasn't all that bad.

With the options that are available with adjusting the suspension, and the engine performance, the steering should be just fine, and today I found out that with the DSC off, that will firm up the steering. So, what the heck.
