Now that's funny, because my experience with BMW warranty work as been the complete opposite- I really do think it depends on the dealer. I got that same "within spec" garbage and other bs from BMW of San Antonio, but BMW of Austin? They went so far above and beyond things they should do under the service plan, that its an important buying point for me.

I think you are both right - I bought from David Aviles in Baltimore, but get my car serviced in Indy. Night and day difference in the way that things like this are addressed.

At the end of the day, I suppose it doesn't matter since I will turn the car in before any of this matters, but this definitely takes away from the overall experience.

Now, if I just knew when the M2 would be available....
