I have a BMW 128i right now that I love and my lease is ending on 7-25-14. I tested both the BMW 228i and the BMW 328i and the BMW 228i not only was more comfortable for me but felt quicker, handled better and was more fun to drive.
I know your question was for those members who are coming out of a 335, but I thought you should know that I felt the 228i was awesome! I did not test the BMW 235 since I think it only comes with a sport seat and I needed the regular seat as I am very petite.
