I purchased my M235i two and one-half years ago, so there was no M2 to think about. And even if there had been an M2 then, it would not have mattered to me. Why? In my feeble pea-brain opinion, one can only sanely use so much car on the street. After that, it's just bragging rights.

As far as I'm concerned, for the street, the M235i is crazy fast.
