An efficient tuned N20 in a small 2-series chassis will be a little ripper. I have been in a tuned manual 328i, fun car for sure (just needs weight loss). My loaner last week was a 528i. For such a heavy vehicle, the N20 did quite well.

Even in stock form, a 228i 0-60 in 5.4 is quick (E36 M3 numbers).
