Actually, both systems are defined as keyless entry:
- Active keyless entry requires a driver to actively press a button on the fob to unlock the car
- Passive keyless entry requires a driver to have the fob near the vehicle to unlock the car

"Comfort Access" is merely BMW's nomenclature for its passive keyless entry system. My post has been edited to clarify that I mean passive keyless entry.
