That seems pretty unlikely. I am skeptical of what Auto Express has predicted for engine possibilities. SCOTT has said on this forum more than once that a 4 cyl turbo is what we can expect for the M2. It makes a lot of sense given the V8 in the M5/M6/X5M/X6M and the 6 cyl headed for the M3/M4/X3M/X4M.
That does make more sense. With brakes, transmission (dct), and suspension being shared between the M2/M3 I was hoping BMW could keep their motors different and not have styling and size be the M2/M3s only differences.
