Your research/ info is correct. Bottom line difference between the 2 cars will be as most have stated; fun factor. The 2wd will excel in it.....when it's dry and nice out if you're a 7/10's driver or greater. If the only vehicle you've ever pushed is the shopping cart in your local Walmart, then there won't be any difference at all under most circumstances.

I think a lot of the confusion (?) mis-information is a carry over from previous generation xi offerings...
