OK Guys from AWE

I'm currently using the M Performance Exhaust with ER catted downpipe. I am considering on moving to the AWE Tuning BMW F22 M235i Touring Edition Axle Back Exhaust -- Diamond 102mm Black Tips (part: 3010-33034), but first I have some questions:
- Are there any real gains with this exhaust? I've seen a few videos of the sound of the exhaust and to me it's very very nice, but I'm concerned about the design. I'm not willing to lose performance (at low nor high RPMs) just to improve the sound. I'm happy if my performance at least remains the same.
How much the OEM exhaust weight compares with the AWE?
Do I really need the performance mid-pipe? Sorry about my ignorance, but what's this for? Louder sound? Better performance gains? Both?
