Maybe because 7 series owners can pony up $ if they hit a pedestrian and said pedestrian gets injured. A 2 series owner can't usually. Same goes for 3, 4, 5, etc.

Rich, elderly British couple in 7 series:

Man: Looks like he broke a rib. I hope he doesn't sue us for over 50000 quid like the last guy did. If only the hood line was set 20 cm behind the grille, we'd be okay.
Wife: Crummy! That horrid hood line would not behoove our tastes, Arthur!
