My (Canadian-spec) 2014 M235i didn't come with them. I kind of wanted them, since I don't eat in the car, so I thought the extra trim might look better. I emailed my dealer, and they said none of their cars (they only had one 2 Series apart from mine) didn't come with them.

I have a US 235 and mine came with both of them. I put them in the glove box as soon as the car was delivered to me and haven't looked at them since.
