There is no competition in suspension complience of these two cars; 1M and M235i. 1M is very single minded, M235i seems to be ready for every kind of road but the downside is when everything is good and fast 1M dives and reacts as good if not better (again predictability of a good fixed suspension) but only on that occasion. All the other times M235i will make a better daily driver solely because of its superiority in suspension. In your case, I believe that it is a promising choice.
