I was on the fence for a while also, was going back and forth between the MPE or the Stage 1. Due to circumstances beyond my control (limited dealerships, a micro management service manager, and a 2018 M240i convertible) I had no other options to consider for exhaust mods and the price of a dealer ordered & installed MPE was about he same price as a Stage 1.
My Service Manager convinced me that my mod money would have more value if I went with a mod I can "feel" instead of hear.
The car is amazing in stock form, take that fun factor and multiply it by 2 with The Stage 1 mod, it will put a smile on your face every time you blip the gas peddle, even in comfort mode.
money well spent...
