It almost certainly does not. In order to do that the car would HAVE to measure torque. Which i would say with 95% certainty it can't. Surprisingly it is quite difficult to measure rolling torque which is why dynos aren't cheap!
What the car PROBABLY does is use throttle position and rpm with a lookup table to estimate torque and as such calculate horsepower. To populate this table they would have put the engine on a dyno and rev'd it up at different throttle settings.

A buddy of mine actually designed a small dyno for a class project. Was a much bigger problem to measure torque than you would think.
