Take a look at cars.com on used BMWs. You'll see a ton of 3 series and like some 2 series. There is not a lot of people who appreciate that kind of car here.
I think that's unfortunate, because for my taste, the 3/4 series are too big and I wish I could get a smaller 4-door RWD bmw (no 2016 M135i here).

totally agree about Americans preferences and I also prefer a 2 series size car. what baffles me is that Americans loved the E30, E36, E46 and so on including even earlier smaller models! Are all of those people now deceased and if so where are their decendants?
