Use the BMW cable to hook-up via USB and Aux (audio goes analog). Telephone work via BT.
Only this $500 option will allow you to use only a USB cable to get both power and data, or music via bluetooth.
What now sucks is for people who want the Nav pack, they have to add this $500 option to get BT music, which now makes the whole thing $500 more expensive for them.
Other BMW models have made Enhanced BT standard. Crazy that this in an option, when most new cars under $25K have this already standard. But, that's us drivin' the lux life--we pay for everything a-la-carte. Hopefully the steering wheel won't become an option!
