I did a review on the R4-S pads in my last M235i TT Review.
If you do pads, fluid, and stainless lines, you wont have any more fade. I was on Streets of Willow for an hour and didn't feel any. The R4-S pads feel similar to stock (easy to modulate), but with a little more bite -- they lock the wheels up pretty easily. They also are quite fade resistant and have decent street manners (they dust like crazy, but no squealing).
