Man, what are you saying?!! I have both, and my impressions are 180 degrees opposite. Funny you would mention the turn signal lever: in my M235i it only feels solid for the initial step (3 blinks) - if I need to engage it fully, it flexes forward/backwards... Nothing like that in the R!
