-And better performance
-And more room
-And an upgraded interior

-And better looking (according to almost every reviewer)
The 1 series is certainly the ancestor of the 2 series and where it gets most of it's DNA, but BWM did a damn fine job of making evolutionary changes in many little areas that made it a
much more appealing car to most folks.
That's the thing. These blogs are full of us crazies who like taking a into a corner at 3x the legal speed limit.
But WE"RE not normal. And certainly not a cutaway of most BMW drivers.
The 1 series was a fun little breed and it's owners appreciate the spunkiness it provided. The 2 series is their 2nd attempt at the same segment with improvements in many areas that has yielded a class-leading car that the entire world is smiling at.
