There, I fixed that for you.

BMW used to have a realistic service interval for a performance vehicle, until they included "free" maintenance - at which point the service interval went to crazy lengths. The reality of "lifetime" fluid is, if you wait till you have a problem to change the fluid, then you replace the aluminum housing containing said fluid at the same time because it's now reached its end of service life - the differential becomes as disposable as the lube. On the other hand, if you replace the fluid at regular intervals you can realistically expect the diff to last the lifetime of the car.
