I had them on my old 135i vert. Lasted about 15K miles. Not sure it was worth the trade off - high horsepower and torque car combined with expensive tires for slightly better grip in high speed cornering in everyday driving conditions.

It's really what your goals are. My current setup is a square 17" setup with runflats. Lower horsepower and torque also helps tire tread longevity. Along with slightly lower unsprung weight. For me this works for the long haul.

Unfortunately its difficult to defeat the laws of physics and money.
