The M3 is a different type of car than 1m or M2. The M3 is more automated, and technology an comfort-laden, luxury centered than the smaller version. I'm all about choice so they should offer the auto but if they only offer 1 transmission, manual is the one most people would pick for this type of car worldwide.

Yes autos are taking over the enthusiast crowd too but abroad, many love manuals more than Americans.
