I've took the original posters pic, lightened up the shadows and made some other adjustments. Not a pretty pic (not much data to start with) but more functional as you can see better how it's supposed to look installed.
Slide it in from the top with. The door half open gives you the biggest opening. Then I used a 6in wood ruler to work it in. Vary the door opening as you go along to best access the points you need to at the moment.

Yup, was a pain in the arse installing the first door. Took about 15 minutes too long. Other side took 5 mins after. The trick is really to open the door gap to several amounts to maneuver your hand/prop in. I did it with bare hands and came out with all fingers intact. I definitely suggest to do it in a clean and well lit environment. Like, no rain on the ground etc and your car in a clean condition as you need to really reach down there at the bottom. Lastly, I have to be totally honest, I really can't tell the difference in noise. Maybe just me... but at least it's nice to know that space is now covered from road debris flying in and out of it.
