I was 100% carless, and now that I am moving far from work, I'll need a car to commute. The timing got tricky for me: I can't wait until there are more 2 series on the lots.
I thought about some options: used E92 335i, new Golf R, used GTI...
I think the E92 335i wouldn't be a compromise at all, but the others would only put me $10-20k away from my dream car, which is the M235i or now M240i.
I'll keep following the forum, but it will take me a while to drive a 2 series

No laughing here. I drove civics and old used cars for most of my life up until now (I'm 35) and I am buying a brand new BMW! Well, a lot has happened in the past year and enabled me but if I wasn't in the predicament I am now I wouldn't have had this great opportunity. Your time will come brotha...
