The above two posters are right, comparing an E46 to a brand new M235i is rather silly. Let's just say it is just as fast, very few people care. The updated cockpit and technology along with warranty and just a fresh take on a performance car is worth the extra money.
To say you should save money just to buy the M name in true form is just as ignorant as saying this car isn't worth 50k loaded to deal with everything that goes with an old and outdated car.
