The experience of the e9X board would say that they are not that tough - it is a very common complaint, and inevitably the complainers are the ones who coded it to happen everytime. But do whatever you want, it's your car. I don't see the point in folding them every time other than the "look at me" factor, or if your parking situation actually requires it.

Let's face it, stuff on these cars breaks even when you DON'T use it every day. We love them anyway. I try not to poke the sleeping bear unnecessarily.
